The official Argentine currency is the Peso.
There are bills of 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100
pesos, and coins of 1 peso and 1, 5, 10, 25,
and 50 cents.

The country's territory offers a wide variety
of climates: subtropical in the North, sub-Antarctic
in the southern Patagonia, and mild and humid

Location, area and frontiers.
Located in South America, and thus, in the
southern hemisphere, Argentina has an area
of almost 3.8 million square kilometers, 2.8
on the continent - approximately 54% are plains
(grasslands and savannahs), 23%, plateaus,
and the other 23%, mountains - and the remainder
in the Antarctic. It is 3,800 Km. long and
is located between latitude 22º and 55º.
Its border with Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay,
Bolivia and Chile has a perimeter of 9,376
Km, while the territory bordered by the Atlantic

The 12th International Congress of the
International Radiation Protection Association
(IRPA 12) will be held in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, from 19 to 24 October 2008, organised
by the Argentine Radiation Protection Society
(SAR). This will be a unique opportunity
to make together reality the Congress motto:
¨Strengthening radiation protection
worldwide¨.
The Technical Exhibition will occupy a large
section of the Congress Venue and will give
the opportunity to industrial and commercial
companies to show their latest developments
in all the fields in which radiation protection
is playing an active role. As part of the
participants´ documentation, a technical
exhibition guide will be provided, where
all company names, products and stand location
will be detailed.

All exhibitors should keep open theirs stands
throughout the entire exhibition period
with at least one responsible person, capable
of giving all sort of information about
the company and the exhibition.
Access to the exhibition will be restricted
to congress members and special guests.
Exhibitors
The Technical Exhibition will be open to
those companies and institutions of any
nationality exhibiting products and/or services
related to the radiation protection field.
The spaces allocated will be for the exclusive
use of the contracting parties and under
no circumstances can be transferred totally
or in part to third parties. Samples and
material on display cannot be removed until
after the exhibition is over. The only place
where advertising is allowed is that allocated
to the booth.
Available Space:
Total technical exhibition space: 280 m2,
divided into 40 booth spaces of various
sizes, see layout.
Booth spaces are located in such a way that
they are in continuous sight and access
of the Congress participants.
Booth space fee:
700 US$ each square meter
Booth space rental:
The rent of a booth space includes:
- Use of the rented space
- General area lighting
- Electric power supply of 100W per each
square meter rented. Beyond this limit additional
electric power will have to be requested;
- general security;
- daily cleaning of aisles,
- badges for exhibitors, not valid for participation
in the scientific program, one guest badge
per square meter of space, valid for visiting
the exhibition but not for participation
in the scientific program
Temporary admittance of equipment
The 12th International Congress of the International
Radiation Protection Association (IRPA 12)
has been declared of National Interest.
The temporary import of goods is governed
by Customs laws and regulatory decrees.
All the arrangements for temporary admittance
of equipment must be made by the exhibitors.
Application deadline:
The deadline for applying is 1st July 2008.
However the application process may be closed
earlier if the total number of booth spaces
is reserved
