Tourism
Center
It is the most fertile and rich part of the country, the land of the plains that lose themselves in the horizon, where generous stockbreeding and agriculture activities are undertaken. It is the home of rural traditions and of the “gauchos” (cowboys), the men on horse. There the famous “estancias” (ranches) are found, many of which open their doors to the tourists to share with them the way of life of the Argentine country, horse riding and “asados” (barbecues).
Towards the north, the Sierras Pampeanas (Pampa Hills) appear and give relief to the region. On the roads arise the chapels and "estancias" of the XVII and XVIII centuries, legacy of the Spanish colonisation and the Jesuit work.

Estancias
The visitors can lodge at "estancias", stately rural residences of French, English, Spanish and colonial styles. There, the rural tasks and habits may be appreciated, like the rearing and branding of cattle, horse taming and, of course, the traditional native “asado”. The tourist may also participate in polo games, horseback riding, golf, hunting, fishing and wildlife observation.
